It’s been a long time since we had some new Stranger Things material, with the third season ending on a 2019 cliffhanger. Now, Netflix is finally gearing up for another round of its original content behemoth, and a teaser suggests we’ll be seeing a little more of just where Eleven came from and why she is the way she is. It’s pretty short, but it suggests big things are yet ahead for our gang of Reagan-era kid adventurers and the Upside Down that just won’t leave them alone.
The end of the last season found everyone in a bit of flux, with several of our heroes moving out of Hawkins (not a bad idea!) and Hopper believed to be dead (although another teaser has already revealed that’s not the case). Show creators have teased it as their scariest season yet, so that ought to entice spooky season fans. Netflix hasn’t announced a firm release date for season four yet, but the first teaser was captioned “001/004” and the next was “002/004” so we’ll probably have more robust marketing on the way shortly.
