Prime Video isn’t done with the future king of Israel just yet.
House of David has renewed the biblical drama for a third season with the next chapter set to push David even closer to the throne. But as anyone familiar with the story knows, getting there is going to be complicated.
Season 3 will find David moving from “outcast shepherd to fierce warrior” toward his “ultimate destiny as King,” according to the official synopsis. First, though, he’ll become a hunted outlaw, forced into exile and hiding among his enemies.
“This chapter explores the true cost of destiny — the betrayals endured, the identities shed, and the sacrifices demanded of a hero before he can rise to the throne,” said Jon Erwin, the show’s creator and CEO of Wonder Project.
In other words, David may have taken down Goliath, but Season 3 is about to remind everyone that the giant was arguably the easy part.
No premiere date for Season 3 has been announced yet.
