Max has dropped the trailer for their new fever dream of a show, Human vs. Hamster.
The reality competition series is somehow not from the writers of 30 Rock, but rather Magnolia Network’s Chip and Joanna Gaines. In the show, it’s “humanity versus hamsters” in a series of challenges appropriately scaled for each species, including a hot dog eating contest, bowling and, of course, a hamster wheel race.
The series will be hosted by Kyle Brandt and Saturday Night Live‘s Sarah Sherman along with Brian Balthazar as the resident “hamster expert” (we’re not fully convinced that’s a real job title). The trailer also introduces us to the human contestants, including pairs of firefighters, nurses and magicians.
Humans vs Hamsters premieres Nov. 21 on Max.
