The trailer for Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair has finally dropped, and the four-part series looks promising — and, of course, chaotic.
Frankie Muniz returns as Malcolm, now an adult trying (unsuccessfully) to keep his distance from the chaos of his family. In the trailer, he explains, “My life is great. I just had to stay away from my family.” That plan quickly unravels when his parents, Hal and Lois, summon him home for their 40th wedding anniversary.
Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek reprise their roles as the famously unhinged parents, with Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield also returning as Francis and Reese. Emy Coligado is back as Piama, along with new cast members Anthony Timpano, Vaughan Murrae, Keeley Karsten and Kiana Madeira.
Since the show ended, Muniz has largely stepped away from acting, pursuing racing and music before recently returning to the spotlight. In recent years, he has also spoken publicly about becoming a Christian, sharing that his relationship with God has become an important part of his life. The revival marks a rare return to the role that made him a household name, nearly two decades after Malcolm in the Middle first went off the air.
All four episodes will drop on Hulu April 10, 2026.
