Things are getting tense for Jesus and his disciples in the teaser trailer for season 5 of The Chosen.
Creator Dallas Jenkins says the eight-episode season answers the question, “What happens in the course of just a few days that causes people to go from worshipping him to wanting him killed?” The season dives into the big week leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion, including everything from big crowds hailing him as king to the Last Supper with the disciples.
Titled The Chosen: Last Supper, the new season, which was shot entirely in cinematic format, will hit theaters just in time for Easter, kicking off a four-week run on March 27, 2025. The series will be released weekly in three parts: Part One (episodes 1-2), Part Two (episodes 3, 4, 5) and Part Three (episodes 6, 7, 8). Later in 2025, the season will make its streaming debut.
