The History Channel has announced a new 10-part docuseries that will dig into some of the Bible’s most significant events, following in the footsteps of the network’s 2013 scripted series The Bible.
The Bible Revealed will bring together scholars, theologians and scientists to explore foundational stories like the Great Flood, the ten plagues and the Garden of Eden. The series promises a mix of historical context, scientific inquiry and theological perspective—an approach that feels timely as questions about faith and meaning keep surfacing in culture.
The History Channel has a strong track record with Bible-based content. In 2013, The Bible became the network’s biggest hit, drawing 13 million viewers on premiere night and never dropping below 10 million live viewers per episode.
Now, with The Bible Revealed, the network is betting that audiences are ready for a deeper dive.
“The Bible Revealed reaffirms our mission to tell globally significant stories with depth and integrity, and this series offers an opportunity to revisit these powerful stories in a fresh, compelling way for both long-time viewers and new generations,” said Eli Lehrer, EVP and head of programming at The History Channel. “We are proud to continue our legacy of producing premium documentary programming that explores the texts and traditions that have shaped our world. This is storytelling with reverence, scale and vision—exactly the kind of project our audiences expect from us.”
