Watch the First Trailer for ‘The Office’ Spinoff, ‘The Paper’

The first trailer for Peacock’s The Paper is here, and it looks like we might finally have a replacement for the Office-shaped hole in our hearts.

From the minds behind The Office and Nathan for You, this new mockumentary swaps out Dunder Mifflin for a flailing Midwestern newspaper—and yes, Oscar Martinez (Oscar Nuñez) is still trapped in workplace absurdity.

The series follows Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson), a painfully optimistic editor-in-chief hired to revive the Toledo Truth Teller, a local newspaper that now operates out of a shared office space with a toilet paper company. Naturally, his team of “journalists” has little to no actual journalism experience.

“I wrote a paper in junior high,” one says of his qualifications. “I’ve tweeted,” adds another.

Pulitzer incoming.

Behind the scenes, the comedy pedigree is stacked: The Paper is co-created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, with Office alums Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Ben Silverman and Howard Klein executive producing.

The cast includes Sabrina Impacciatore (White Lotus), Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Ramona Young, Tim Key and Alex Edelman, with guest appearances by Tracy Letts, Molly Ephraim and others.

The first four episodes of The Paper hit Peacock on Sept. 4.
