Lake District, a picturesque little English town, is home to a small inn called The Danson Deme Hotel, which has taken to replacing its Gideons Bibles in guest rooms with Fifty Shades of Grey, because it’s obviously a place run by connoisseurs of literature’s finest gems. Jonathan Denby, the hotel’s owner, said that it was “wholly inappropriate” to have the Bible in a room where someone who might be offended by its content could accidentally read it or something.
