The story of Bishop Carlton Pearson will soon be the subject of a new Netflix film called Come Sunday, and last week, he visited Megyn Kelly Today to discuss what it was like to be labeled a heretic.
Years ago, Pearson believed he heard the voice of God reveal to him that there was no eternal hell where unbelievers would go when they die. Obviously, the message didn’t go over well with some of his fellow Christian leaders who soon branded him a heretic.
In a sit-down interview with Megan Kelly, he defended his unorthodox theology, but also got emotional while discussing the experience of losing almost everything.
