A really interesting moment took place before the radio show The Breakfast Club this week.
Controversial young rapper 6ix9ine and Hillsong pastor Brian Houston were both guests, and before they started recording, Houston led him in prayer.
Consider 6ix9ine’s extremely explicit lyrical content, common use of gang imagery, and intensely misogynistic writing, it was an incredible moment. The whole studio fell into a hush, some people pulled their phones out to record the prayer, and there was a reverent vibe in the air. We don’t know where 6ix9ine is at, but we know this is cool, and we know this is powerful for people to see.
