Recently, while on tour, Lecrae made a surprising stop: Texas’ Carol S. Vance Unit prison.
Along with fellow 116 Clique members Andy Mineo, Tedashii and WHATUPRG, Lecrae met with representatives from Prison Fellowship to hear inmates’ stories and give them hope for the future.
As the organization explains on their website, “Prison Fellowship is working with talented people in entertainment and restorative programs to bring awareness to the 2.2 million people behind bars in America today, and bring attention to the need for transformation and restoration—in our nation’s prisons and jails, our justice system, and our communities.”
The video below features highlights from the trip, and Prison Fellowship’s powerful message to people behind bars.
