Well, if you left the first season of 13 Reasons Why thinking the show couldn’t possibly become anymore emotionally intense, start recalibrating your sensors. The trailer for season two is here, and the show looks more in-your-face, more troubling and edgier than before.
Yarn-strung conspiracy maps? Got ’em. Illicit handguns? Check. Angry tears? Present. It’s too soon to tell if this show is going to lean closer to ABC Family Pretty Little Liars-type chaos or more sensible real-issues engagement in season two, but the trailer proves that either outcome is still very much in play.
13 Reasons Why comes back for a second season on May 18.
