On Wednesday night, musical superstars convened at Madison Square Garden for a largely successful, very fun, perfect storm of talent. Lots of great songs sung by lots of great bands, and plenty of money raised, so one can’t quibble too much. But let’s do it anyway, because there were also some very weird moments. But which moment was the weirdest? Was it when Paul McCartney fronted the Nirvana reunion? Was it when Kanye showed up looking like he’d raided Kim Kardashian’s closet, in a leather skirt and leggings? Was it when Chris Martin showed up without Coldplay and just played a little campfire singalong with R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe? So many contenders, but there can only be one weirdest moment.
