Nothing in life is certain. Just because The Simpsons has been around pretty much since the invention of television (no time to fact check that one) doesn’t mean that everything on history’s longest running show is bound to stick around. And, according to executive producer Al Jean, one “iconic” piece is on the chopping block. “I’ll give you a clue that the actor playing the character won an Emmy for playing that character,” Jean told reporters. “But I won’t say who it is.” Well, that’s a tantalizing hint but seeing as almost every regular voice actor has taken home an Emmy at some point for their work on the show, it doesn’t narrow it down much.
