Following a successful pilot program, YouTube will now allow any channel (that is verified and has at least 10,000 subscribers) to charge users to watch their videos. The $0.99 monthly subscription fee is a way for content creators and YouTube to try to make more money, as online advertising becomes increasingly competitive.
