I got stuck behind a slow person in the fast lane on the highway today. While I’m all for obeying the laws of the land, it bugs me when individuals decide to single-handedly enforce the pace they feel is best for the interstate by getting in the fast lane and then driving the same speed as the slower lanes, forming a complete roadblock, and eventually causing miles of traffic bottleneck behind them.
If you want to go the slower speed, in my opinion, you should get in the slower lane. Ultimately, it’s safer. And lets me be on my way.
The situation inevitably brought to mind other pet peeves that drive me crazy every time, like people wearing bluetooth headsets when they’re not on the phone (this just in: you’re not cool) or chewing loudly in a quiet room. It goes without saying, the latter is absolutely not referring to anyone related to me.
