I am spending most of this week @ Richmond Hill, a Christian retreat center on the grounds of a hundred year old monastery. The space is quiet. The prayers (morning, noon, evening) form a rhythm for our time. For dinner, we are summoned by a cowbell rung through the halls. (no, not by Christopher Walken)
I am here for a training experience for church planters, and this evening a line from our discussion stays with me:

I can’t imagine a line being much truer than this – or much more counter-cultural.
