Music Blog Guest: Colour Revolt

Is anyone else excited about Colour Revolt’s first full length album in 2008? If you’re not, you should be. Because it’s going to rock well.

The bass player in the band, Patrick Addison, is our guest today for the ReleBlog. Everyone make him feel welcome:

Dylan – Welcome to the Relevant Music Blog, tell us about the music you’ve been loving lately?

PatrickBattles – Mirrored. Have you heard this? Instrumental rock awesomeness, the drummer from helmet is in it. You got to love helmet

Dylan – yeah, Helmet is excellent. What about television? Do you watch tv?

Patrick – To be honest I don’t watch a whole lot of tv, but I say I really am a big fan of the office, American and UK of course. I did just watch a nature documentary called “Life in the Undergrowth” hosted by David Attenborough that is unbelievable. I recommend you finding it right now.

Dylan – oh David Attenborough is great. Hey, tell us your best memory from your last tour

Patrick – Ha, best moment from last tour was either Len throwing up in the middle of our set in Albany, NY because he was rocking too hard or the Mississippi dance party we created at the venue in Toronto once it turned into a fancy dance club.

Dylan – How aboout a philosophical/theological thought you’d like to share with the ReleBlog

Patrick – I don’t know if this is philosophical or theological but I did a whole lot of community service this year, and just talked about it for a long time with a friend and I realized how amazing it was and how it really made me feel like I was making a difference. I can’t wait to come back to Oxford, MS after Christmas and keep that up.

Dylan – What are you reading right now?

Patrick – I’m currently in the middle of exam week and having to read this beach mom book called “Tuesdays with Morrie”. It’s sad and about death and dying but still living out your last moments as best you can. I’ve got to write a paper on it and its due tomorrow.

Dylan – What are you wearing right now?

Patrick – PF flyers, 2 different socks, jeans, a grey undershirt, a blue scarf, and an old jacket that I found at a thrift store. pretty bawlin’

Dylan – Thanks for sharing with the ReleBlog Patrick! Is there anything else you need to get off your chest?

Patrick – Does it ever frustrate you when you go into a place to get some hot coffee and it ends up being just terrible? But you drink it, because coffee is a beautiful thing. And then you get seconds and forget its bad. I try not to get bad coffee, but when i do… Who cares.
