A 3-year-old boy in Texas who had been missing for four days was found alive in the woods by a neighbor who said he heard from God to search for the boy.
Christopher Ramirez was last seen playing with a neighbor’s dog outside his home in Grimes County when he followed the dog into the woods. The dog eventually returned, but the boy was nowhere to be found.
Community volunteers and FBI officials began searching the region for Ramirez but couldn’t find him after four days of searching.
While the search continued, a church nearby that was holding its weekly Bible study discussed the boy’s disappearance. One attendee began praying for Ramirez when he says he heard God tell him to go search for the boy. The next morning, the man headed out and heard a small voice in the distance, finding Ramirez alive. The boy was tired and dehydrated, but was nevertheless “in overall good spirits and health,” said Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell. He has now been reunited with his parents.
The Good Samaritan who found Ramirez has requested to remain anonymous, according to Sowell.
“I had several good visits with him and thanked him for being there,” the sheriff said. “He replied that God told him at Bible study yesterday evening to go look for him and he would find him. This morning the man did just that and the rest is a happy ending to this story.”
