Scientists in Australia have figured out a new way to prevent shark attacks at local beaches—by signing the sharks up for Twitter. They’ve tagged more than 320 of the ocean predators with specially designed transmitters that will update the local feed of a group called Surf Life when one of the sharks approaches shore. Surfers and beach goers who follow the shark feed can get real time updates about the number of jaws in the water at any given time.
