Boy Scouts May Be Changing Their Policy on Homosexuality

A longstanding Boy Scouts of America rule forbidding gay scouts and leaders may be changing sometime next week, according to the group’s spokesman. If the BSA’s board approves the measure, each individual troop could decide for itself how to handle the issue. “The policy change under discussion would allow the religious, civic or educational organizations that oversee and deliver Scouting to determine how to address this issue,” BSA spokesman Deron Smith said in a statement to USA Today.
