The grim case of 13-year-old Jahi McMath took another turn late yesterday. After a routine tonsil surgery inadvertently resulted in Jahi slipping into cardiac arrest, Jahi was declared brain dead and medical experts agree she will not be waking up. Nevertheless, her mother and thousands of protestors have been fighting to keep her on life support. The hospital was set to unplug the machines at 5 o’clock yesterday, until a judge ordered them to keep Jahi on life support until at least January 7.
