This is a pretty wild story that took place in December, and is finally catching some traction. It all happened in Spain, where a burglar raided the home of a local football (soccer) coach and stole, among other things, a few videotapes. Only when he took his loot back to his hideout (assuming burglars still use hideouts) did he discover, to his horror, that the coach was luring his players to his home, sexually abusing them and filming it all. So the crook slipped the videotapes in an envelope, hid them in a public place, called the police and told them where to find them. The police found the tapes along with the burglar’s anonymous note: “I’ve had the misfortune that these tapes have fallen into my hands and I feel obligated to turn them in so that you can do your job and put that (expletive) in prison for life.”
The burglar is getting his wish: the coach has been arrested. As to the identity of the burglar himself, he’s still on the loose and police are still committed to finding him …
