Well, that all looks very fun. Very manly! It’s not immediately clear exactly what connection the monster truck jump has to do with Christian values but how many sermon analogies could there possibly be? We put our heads together and came up with a few possibilities.
The monster truck leaps over the fiery torches just like the shepherd risked danger to rescue his lost sheep.
The monster truck defied gravity like Jesus defied sin and death.
As the monster truck jumpeth over the fires so my soul jumpeth after thee.
No matter how scary things may seem in the monster truck of life, you will always land safely.
Men are called to go into all the nations and preach the Gospel just like this monster truck went into all men’s hearts.
Just like faith the size of a mustard seed can command a mountain into the sea, a driver the size of a guy can command this monster truck to jump,
The Good News never goes out of style, just like a good old fashioned monster truck jump.
Even though it takes a lot of power for this monster truck to jump over flaming torches, God has infinitely more power.
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, your monster truck, it comforts me.
The monster truck jump is ultimately trivial, just like our good works before the Lord.
It could be any of these. Or none of them. Or maybe all of them? Look, we can neither confirm nor deny the use of any of these, because we weren’t there and can only hazard a guess. But whatever the intended lesson, it seems clear that a good, manly time was had by all.
