Careful: CDC Says to Stay Away from Romaine Lettuce This Thanksgiving Due to E. Coli Outbreak

Does your family eat salad on Thanksgiving? (If so, maybe it’s time to find a new family.) This year you have a solid excuse to say “none for me, thanks.”

Yesterday, the CDC called for all U.S. consumers and restaurants to get rid of all romaine lettuce due to a multi-state E. Coli outbreak.

According to TIME, this warning comes from 32 cases of the bacteria being reported from 11 states with at least 13 people hospitalized from Oct. 8 and Oct. 31.

No deaths have been reported, but a romaine-linked outbreak earlier this year left five people dead, so we’re not taking our chances on this one.
