There’s a glass half-full, glass half-empty dynamic to the latest public service act from our friends at Chick-fil-A. The fast-food restaurant, excellent at placing two pickles atop fried or grilled cuts of chicken, is also excellent at making their customers feel valued. Their latest act might raise eyebrows, but we’re into it.
The chain’s Oldsmar, Florida location threw a surprise birthday party for regular customer Stephen Bellissimo, who turned 100 last week. Bellissimo has been going to the same restaurant on a near-weekly basis for 15 years, and the staff surprised him with a “black card” of sorts (ever heard of one?) that grants him free meals for life.
Bellissimo (who showed up in a buttoned blazer and shorts, because he’s a baller and 100 years old) said he’s going to up his attendance now to every day. Can you blame him?
