In high school, the only thing more stressful than taking the SAT is … retaking it because your test fell out of a delivery truck.
That’s what 55 students are facing after the El Paso Independent School District said their tests flew out of the UPS truck transporting them and were either lost or destroyed.
The district is already working with College Board, which administers the SATs, to “determine a remedy” for the students whose tests were lost. The district also shared with CNN that students will be able to take the ACT in December at no cost to them, so there’s that.
UPS told CNN they are investigating the situation.
“The driver’s actions in this case are not representative of UPS protocols and methods, and we are addressing this with him,” a UPS spokesperson said.
