Famed evangelist Billy Graham has passed away of natural causes at his home in North Carolina.

He was 99 years old.

Graham rose to prominence in the 1950s. His crusades filled stadiums around the world, where he preached the gospel and led countless individuals in prayer. Graham was a fixture on TV, and frequently consulted with world leaders and sitting U.S. presidents.

He also founded the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which continues his legacy of ministry and evangelism.
