
A mother in Mobile, Ala. says her 5-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, used crayons to draw a picture of something that “resembled a gun,” and pointing her crayon at a classmate and saying “pew! pew!”, all of which sent school officials into an alleged tizzy. Elizabeth was sent home, but not before she had to take a questionnaire evaluating her suicidal state and having to sign a contract promising to talk to someone if she had any homicidal or suicidal thoughts. According to her mother, All of this prompted Elizabeth to ask her mother a pretty chilling question: “Mommy, daddy, what is suicide?”
E.R. Dickson Elementary, the school in question, has not responded to reporters’ questions about whether or not this is all protocol …
