Hot Pockets Recalled for ‘Diseased’ and ‘Unsound’ Meat

Breaking news, there’s evidently actual “meat” in Hot Pockets. Also breaking news, some of it is from diseased animals, and according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is being pulled from shelves because it is “unsound, unwholesome or otherwise … unfit for human food.” Hot Pocket-maker Nestle said that only a small number of Philly Steak and Cheese Hot Pockets were affected by the bad meat from a supplier in California, and they were being recalled. Our advice: nuke your daily Hot Pockets for a few extra minutes before eating, just to be on the safe side …
