A new video purports to show ISIS using a young boy to execute a 19-year-old the group was holding prisoner. In the clip, the 19-year-old man is identified as Mohamed Said Ismail Musallam, an Israeli citizen who is of Palestinian heritage. The video shows a man standing with a young boy and a bound Musallam, directly addressing the camera before the boy carries out the execution. The adult ISIS member claims that Musallam is an Israeli spy attempting to gain access to the Islamic militant group. Moments later, the young boy shoots Musallam in the forehead with a handgun, and then fires two more shots after Musallam falls to the ground. Both Israeli intelligence and Musallam’s own family deny he had any involvement with the Israeli government, and in a “confession” video also released by ISIS, Musallam is seen reading from a prepared statement, possibly under coercion.
