Secretary of State John Kerry did not mince words when asked about a new UN report, detailing many of the atrocities and human rights violations committed by the North Korean regime of Kim Jong un. Referring to the reclusive nation as “an evil, evil place,” he said that he has engaged in talks with China about ways to deal with the situation in North Korea and what action can be taken over its possible nuclear weapons program. He told reporters, “North Korea is one of the most closed and cruel places on earth. There’s no question about it.
