A Central African Republic spokesperson has told The Associated Press, that notorious warlord Joseph Kony has recently spoken to the country’s president, and is in negotiations for a possible surrender. However, an African Union official who has helped oversee the on-going hunt for the brutal war criminal said that Kony—whose exact location is unknown—is simply, “buying time by duping the CAR authorities into ‘negotiations.’” The same AU envoy told the U.N. that Kony is feeling pressure from the CAR president, and may be very sick. “His people have been in contact with him (Kony), and they wanted to encourage him to surrender.
