A magnitude-8.2 earthquake off the coast of Chile last night caused nearly a million people to evacuate and is responsible for at least six deaths. Though there are reports of large-scale power outages, landslides and the destruction of some homes, authorities haven’t assessed the damaged throughout the northern part of the country that was directly affected by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami.
