Rescuers fear that at least 350 people were killed when a boat carrying migrants from Libya capsized in the Mediterranean Sea this week. According to reports, the men on the boat rushed to one side when they saw a rescue vessel approaching, causing it to capsize. People who were in the hull to keep warm became trapped and drowned. Though 145 were rescued, many of the feared dead are women and children. The migrants were fleeing Libya, which has seen increasing unrest and violence following political instability and the rise of ISIS.
