
According to a new report from Pew Research Center, most major religions are concentrated to only one or two countries. For example, 50 percent of Buddhists live in China, 94 percent of Hindus live in India and 81 percent of Jews live in the U.S. and Israel. Christianity is actually the most evenly distributed, with 50 percent of the world’s Christians living in 11 countries (the U.S., Brazil, Mexico, Russia, the Philippines, Nigeria, China, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Germany, Ethiopia and Italy). Islam is also more spread out, with six countries holding 53 percent of Muslims—and, surprisingly, only 20 percent of Muslims living in the Middle East …
