Joe Rogan, a man who somehow remains simultaneously very popular and very polarizing, revealed that he’s rejected interview offers from former President Donald Trump. “The Joe Rogan Experience” is the world’s most popular podcast that has hosted a variety of polarizing figures, but Trump is apparently over the line for Rogan, who says he doesn’t support Trump and doesn’t want to give him a platform.
“The Trump era is also going to be one of the weirder times,” Rogan said on Lex Fridman’s podcast. “When people look back historically about the division in this country, he’s such a polarizing figure that so many people felt like they could abandon their own ethics and morals and principles just to attack him and anybody who supports him because he is an existential threat to democracy itself.”
“I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form,” Rogan continued. “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once — I’ve said no, every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
Nevertheless, Rogan speculated that Trump’s 2024 White House odds aren’t bad, noting President Joe Biden’s age.
Rogan has drawn criticism in the past for platforming anti-vaccine sentiment and promoting unproven Covid “cures” in lieu of vaccines.
