This weekend, ISIS released another video showing militants slaughtering two large groups of Christians on a beach in Libya. The two groups of Ethiopian Christians were shot execution style and beheaded. The new half-hour clip is much like a video the radical Islamic group released in February, showing a mass execution of 21 Coptic Christians. In the latest a narrator says, “Despite the cross, we have returned,” adding, “You will not have safety even in your dreams, until you accept Islam. Our battle is a battle between faith and blasphemy, between truth and falsehood.”
Throughout the clip, a narrator quotes the Koran, and explains that the Christians are being killed for not paying a tax they say the book commands non-Muslims pay. “The Islamic state has offered the Christian community this many times and set a deadline for this, but the Christians never cooperated.” ISIS has targeted Christians, religious minorities and even fellow Muslims since spreading throughout Syria, Iraq and now Libya, enforcing their radical Islamic ideology …
