Police officer Eric Casebolt has resigned. The McKinney officer drew national criticism after a video emerged showing him shouting profanity, brandishing his gun and pinning a 14-year-old girl to the ground after breaking up a teen pool party in the Texas town. Charges against the girl he detained have been dropped. Casebolt is white and most of the teens shown in the video are black. In a statement to reporters, the local police chief said, “Our policies, our training, and our practice do not support his actions.
