Indonesia’s national search and rescue agency is still trying to determine what happened to a commercial airliner carrying 162 people that vanished over the weekend. Though they have been unable to locate signs of wreckage, an official told reporters that they believe AirAsia flight QZ8501 is “at the bottom of the sea.” Before the plane lost contact with air traffic control workers on Sunday morning, the pilot requested permission to change its planned flight path to avoid violent weather.
