One person was killed at a shooting at Wayne County Community College in Goldsboro, North Carolina Monday morning. The campus went into full lockdown as law enforcement continues to search for a suspect meeting the following description: white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with a goatee, tattoo over his left eye, wearing a blue jacket and carrying a long rifle. Public Information Officer Tara Humphries originally stated that police have one suspect “under control,” then later said there was nobody in custody. A SWAT team, Goldsboro police and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in the college’s library. College President Kay Albertson said all school personnel have been evacuated.
