Kentucky Senator Rand Paul announced this morning that he will seek the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. On his website, he posted a message formally launching his campaign, that read, “I am running for president to return our country to the principles of liberty and limited government.” Paul is only the second person to announce their intention of running for the GOP nomination so far: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz recently visited the campus of Liberty University to kick off his campaign.
