Report: Islamic State Terrorists Executed 11 Christian Hostages in Nigeria

This week, Islamic State terrorists in Nigeria released a video that reportedly shows the group executing 11 Christians. According to the video, the men were “captured in the past weeks” and were killed as retribution for the death of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who was killed by U.S. forces in October.

In a statement, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said, “We should, under no circumstance, let the terrorists divide us by turning Christians against Muslims because these barbaric killers don’t represent Islam and millions of other law-abiding Muslims around the world.”

BBC reporters, who reviewed the video, said that one of the men was shot, and the other 10 were beheaded.

Islamic militant groups like Boko Haram and a group known as the Islamic State West Africa Province have routinely engaged in campaigns of kidnapping, murder and terrorism in the region.
