Hours after the funeral of Freddie Gray, riots have broken out in the streets of Baltimore. A police captain told reporters, “This afternoon, a group of outrageous criminals attacked our officers. Right now, we have seven officers that have serious injuries, including broken bones, and one officer who is unconscious.” Several businesses have been looted as police attempt to restore order to parts of the city. Baltimore has been home to demonstrations in recent days, as protestors sought answers for how Freddie Gray, a young black man, sustained fatal injuries while in police custody.
