
You may have seen this image floating around Facebook in the last few days. The photos show the results of a test in which spiders constructed webs under the influence of different kinds of drugs. The original experiment was conducted way back in 1948 (and has been revisited in various ways by researchers since), but considering the amount of caffeine currently consumed by Americans, still seems pretty relevant. Ironically, these images have gone viral within just a few days of the story of a guy ordering a 48-shot frappuccino at Starbucks and the announcement of a breakfast drink from the maker’s of Mountain Dew.
