Syrian Hackers Take Down ‘The New York Times’ Website

If you’ve had trouble accessing the website of The New York Times since yesterday afternoon, you’re not alone. According to the paper’s official Twitter account, the media company is the victim of a “malicious external attack” most likely carried out by the Syrian Electronic Army, a hacker group working for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
