There are plenty of stupid mistakes you can make while committing burglary. Obviously, the first one is stealing stuff in the first place, but eating on the job and then leaving behind a clear trail is a close second. Apparently no one told that to three alleged burglars in Mt. Morris, New York. After cops arrived at a local Build-A-Burger to investigate a break-in on Sunday morning, they found “a steady trail of macaroni salad” on a hiking path close to the restaurant. Apparently, along with a cash register and surveillance system (parts of which were also scattered on the path), the burglars had also decided to take a snack for the road—and they were messy eaters.
