Yesterday, a U.S. air strike aimed at ISIS fighters killed more than 85 civilians, including children, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
This devastating event appears to have been caused by an accident. Apparently, those involved mistook citizens for ISIS militants.
Images of the aftermath of the strikes in northern Syria appear to show the bodies of children as young as three.
The Telegraph reports that this represents the deadliest strike on civilians since Alliance efforts to aid Syria began.
