If you’ve bought a pair of those FiveFinger shoes since March 21, 2009, than you may be entitled to collect some cash. Vibram, the maker of the rubbery foot-gloves, has settled a lawsuit alleging that the company intentionally misled consumers into believing that their shoes helped to prevent injuries and strengthened leg and foot muscles. Though the company claimed no wrongdoing, as part of the settlement—which will let FiveFinger owners recover some of the money they paid for they shoes—they will also run an online campaign informing customers about the lawsuit. Vibram owners can receive up to $94 by filing a claim, which is, unfortunately not enough to buy back dignity for customers who repeatedly insisted on wearing the FiveFinger shoes with jeans in casual settings as if it wasn’t weird …
