It’s always hard on parents when one of their kids leaves the nest to head out into the world on their own. But, one Reddit user found the perfect solution to help his brokenhearted parents when he left to go study abroad: He sent them a life-sized cardboard cutout of himself, to remind them that even though he’s no longer at home, he’s never stopped being a part of the family. As you can see from these pictures, the family has really taken to the cardboard version of their son, taking him out to dinner, Easter egg hunting, to basketball games and of course, tucking him into bed every night.
